Tonya Shirelle is a divorced mother of three, Cierra Domonique, Tiffany Brandice and Rodney LaMarr Wallace Jr, residing in the Metropolitan Detroit, Michigan area. She began reading and writing at the age of three. She has published several articles throughout the years and has had a column in a local newspaper entitled “Time to Talk, Woman to Woman.”

Her can-do attitude has taken her far in life. She has an entrepreneurial spirit which led to the founding of Infinite Xpression Publishing. Dedicated to whatever tasks are put before her, she juggles her busy schedule daily. From co-owning a children’s clothing store for seven years to owning a consulting company, she is dedicated and focused. She has many aspirations and has decided to conquer them all.

Growing up Tonya learned from her family that the only limitations people have in life are the ones they placed on themselves. Her motto is “if you can believe it you can achieve it, yet you have to put the plan in action.” That’s just what she has done.

Her literary journey is one filled with real issues as well as humor. Tonya loves to laugh, even in the midst of adversity she seeks something to smile about. She creates characters with 'stick-to-itiveness.' Her characters have drive and determination to overcome. Writing is something that is natural for her. She has written several manuscripts in addition to her first soon to be published “Circumstances.” So stay tuned there’s more to come from Tonya Shirelle.

Pastor Edward K. McCrary

Reverend Edward K. McCrary was born and raised in Detroit, educated at Oakland University and Wayne State University where he obtained his BSEE, and the Nazarene Bible College. He is serving his twelfth year Senior Pastor of the Spreading Oak Church and holds the position of Vice President of Estimating for an electrical contracting firm. He is the  proud parent of Stephanie, Edward II, and Stephen.

 

Prior to becoming pastor of Spreading Oak Church, Pastor McCrary  worshiped and served in the New Hope Church of the Nazarene in Detroit for twelve years in many capacities including Youth group director, Choir director and associate minister.


While in Bible College he was used as pulpit supply for the Spreading Oak Church in Inkster,MI and  was asked to service as interim pastor "until they could find a pastor".  After one year Pastor McCrary was installed as the 5th pastor of this now 70 year old ministry

 

In addition to being the Pastor of Spreading Oak Church in Inkster, MI, Reverend Edward K. McCrary hosts a weekly radio show "What the Bible Says" on WCHB 1200am each Saturday morning at 9am EST. Additionally he hosts the "What the Bible Says" show on internet blog talk radio.  In his continual colloquial quest to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ, Reverend McCrary has embarked on a long awaited writing career.







Nikki Woods
(Radio Personality & Author)


Radio personality and author, Nikki Woods, said to be a cross between Terry McMillan and Kimberly Lawson Roby, has written a poignant new novel about love featuring a skillfully created cast of characters that are so full of life they breathe, dream, and shout right off the page.

Nikki was born in Rock Hill, Missouri, just west of Saint Louis, where her family was an integral part of the community.Her father,Kennard O. Whitfield, is a former Rock Hill Mayor and Alderman.

An avid writer since grade school, her daydreams became her short stories and her journals became the home for her thoughts and memories.

She pursued Education at Howard University and also has a BA in Journalism from the University of St. Francis where her aspirations to enter the field of broadcast journalism came to light.

Her family has ties in Jamaica, and Woods relished the opportunity to teach elementary education
overseas in Portland Parish, Jamaica before switching careers.

She eventually began her journey in Broadcasting when she became a news reporter for KMOX-AM [St. Louis], then on to a spot as morning co-host and news director at WILD-AM [Boston].

After meeting with Elroy R.C. Smith (Operation Manager/Program Director of WGCI), she joined "The Crazy Howard McGee Morning Show," which she co-hosts with comedian Tony Sculfield. Woods can be heard everyday delivering the latest scoop on such notable Hollywood stars as LL Cool J, Steve Harvey and Queen Latifah to name a few.

Christopher School for Children. She lives in the Chicago Suburbs with her family. She is currently working on her second and third novels,“Innocence Lost”and “Light My Pathway Home.”



Rosalinda Wilcher
(Minister, Author)

Rosalinda Wilcher is known to stay busy with her many gifts and talents. With over 18 years in the medical field as a surgical nurse who would imagine that she would have time to bring to fruition some of her innate creative abilities. She has managed to pursue her dreams in clothing and interior design. She is also in partnership with her best friend in opening a day spa, in which she does facials, and body wraps.

With a vast number of things in tow Roslinda still finds time for her favorite pasttime, writing. With the release of her first book, Seven Faces of a Woman, Rosalinda has 3 other books she has penned and awaiting publishing.

As a minister Rosalinda has a womens group "Women on The Move for Healing," and she also counsels women. A divorcee Rosalinda has one daughter.
 



Nancy Gilliam
(Performance Artist, Author & Educator)

Nancy Gilliam is an accomplished performing artist, author, and educator. The first national Miss Phi Beta Sigma is a graduate of the Fiorello H. LaGuardia Highschool of Performing Arts and earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts and Master of Fine Arts degrees from C.W. Post Center of Long Island University and the University of Southern California respectively. Her biography appears in numerous publications including "Outstanding Young Women of America", "Who's Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges" and most recently "Who's Who Among America's Teachers".
 

As a performer, she made her professional stage debut at the age of eleven in the Joseph Papp New York Shakespeare Festival Production of "The Wedding Band" with Ruby Dee and Robert Loggia. Her credits include the MGM motion picture "Fame" and the pilot episode of the ABC Television soap opera "Loving". She created the role of Tammi Terrell in the 1985 production, "An Evening with Marvin Gaye"in Los Angeles, CA. She was a background vocalist on the motion picture soundtrack of "The Wiz", in the ABC TV production of S. Torriano Berry's "The Light", and on the Calvin Carr CD "Finally". She is the former lead vocalist of the groups JEMSA and PERFECT TOUCH, and has worked with musicians Kevin Harrington, Paul Fraoley, Andre Lasalle, John Willis, Justice Butler and Ronald Smalls to name a few.

Her songwriting credits are extensive. During the '80's, she was one of the most sought after lyricists on the Queens music circuit. She wrote with and for Doug Harris, Julio Herrera, Michael Oakman, Bob Gass, and Ron Dean Miller, with whom she co-authored the Billboard top twenty hit song "Take A Chance" and "Stop Playing on Me", both recorded by Nuance featuring Vicki Love. The latter was used as the theme song for an episode of the 1980's remake of the NBC TV series "Alfred Hitchcock Presents". Her catalog of Praise & Worship music includes "Beauty of Holiness", "Perfect Praise" and "I'll Worship". She has been a member of ASCAP for over twenty years.

In the literary field, she has self-published two children's inspirational fiction books entitled "Thank You, Thank You, Thank You" and "I Can't Play Basketball, I'm Only Four Feet Tall". Her plays include "Reality Patrol", "Born for the Family", "The Seven Sins" and "Definitions", which she has just adapted to screen. She is a story contributor in the 2004 Black Book Award Winner for Non-Fiction "Chicken Soup for the African American Soul" and the newest Chicken Soup release, "Chicken Soup for the African American Woman's Soul" for which she also serves as Special Projects Manager. She is a featured author in "The Hustler's Ten Commandments" by multi-media mogul HOTEP. She authored the #1 rated companion study guide to B.J. Robinson's book "LeBron James: King of the Court", for which she also wrote the introduction. Named a 2006 Poetry Ambassador by the International Society of Poets, her poetry appears in the anthology "Eternal Portraits". She has also contributed to New York Arts Magazine.

Nancy is the co-founder of the African American Literary and Media Group which is dedicated to providing inspiration, education and tangible tools to help novices and professionals alike navigate their way through the challenging literary and media industries. She conducts and coordinates conferences, workshops and seminars across the country. Her most recent credit is that of Associate Producer and Director of Media Relations for the Unchained Entertainment film I LIKE FLOWERS, featuring the legendary Patti Labelle. Look for Nancy in the upcoming Skinnymen Productions documentary PLEASURE & PAIN which also features Phylicia Rashaad, Deborah McDuffie (the first African American female music producer), MC Lyte, Denise Spiller, Lisa Nichols and Loretta Divine.




E. Felicia Douglas

E. Felicia Douglas has been writing since she knew how to talk. Though what she was writing at that time is still questionable, it only magnifies how personally she takes her writing. In elementary school when the assignment was to write sentences using the spelling words for the week, Felicia would write paragraphs and short stories incorporating every single word.

Currently, Felicia holds the position of Assistant Technical Director for the National Black Theatre Festival which is held bi-annually in Winston-Salem, NC where she has the opportunity to work with some of the nations finest theatre companies. She has been featured in several publications and magazines featuring Prose and Poetry, completed two yet to be released novels, ‘The Raggedy Cart’ and ‘Simone’s My Sister Too’ as well as currently finishing a script for the play ‘Dreads and Baldheads: A Sister’s Guide to OWNING a Black Man’. Felicia currently resides happily in Chicago with a house full of laughter and three beautiful dogs.
